A lot of the books on REI I’ve been reading lately make the same point: your network is everything. The people you surround yourself with can shape how you think, what you learn, and even how far you go.
That idea has really been on my mind, so we’ve been making a larger effort to spend more time with the people already in our lives who are either investing in real estate or seriously looking into it. There’s something different about those conversations—when you’re talking to someone who understands the risks, the rewards, and the “why” behind it all, you walk away energized and more focused.
At the same time, I’ll admit, I’m still figuring out what level of support makes sense for us. I know there are mentorship programs, masterclasses, and other paid options that some investors swear by. But right now, I’m not sure if that’s the right path. For now, it feels good to lean into the relationships we already have and grow alongside people who are on a similar journey.
Maybe later we’ll take the plunge into something more formal. For now, though, we’re grateful to be building a network that’s already making this path feel a lot less lonely. And that’s the thing about the road to realty—it’s not meant to be traveled alone.
